In the painter studio of Gilles Sacksick, three works take shape before our eyes: a still life (color wash) and two oil paintings, one a portrait of a young girl, the other a landscape with a couple “going from the first day of creation to the dawn of time.” These three moments of pictorial creation are punctuated by poetry, musical interludes and commentaries by the painter on artistic traditions.
